Music Ministry

Music has been called "The language of the heart," and the "heart" is alive and well at Olivet.  Six choirs meet regularly, beginning with preschool and going through senior adults.   Our 10:15 a.m. Sunday morning worship service is a 'blended' service and is led by a praise team, the Celebration Choir and instrumental ensemble consisting of piano, keyboard, guitar, bass, drums and electronic organ, this is all "blended" with a mix of hymns and contemporary praise choruses.

Annual Music Events

God and Country Day ~ The Sunday closest to the 4th of July, we have a day of patriotic music, recognition and worship. We recognize all veterans and surviving spouses and their branch of service. There are good old standard songs and some new ones as well as special music by individuals or groups, usually with videos that make an impact on those who watch.

Christmas Programs ~ There are plenty of opportunities to get into the Christmas spirit each December. Our choirs work hard on music for the Christmas season and it is always a program telling about the birth of Jesus in a meaningful way.

Easter ~ We love the Easter season at Olivet.  We celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ all year, the newness of spring and Easter season is especially moving.
