GOD’S PROMISE TO MEET YOUR NEEDS
Living With Joy - Part 11

Philippians 4:14-20

“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”   Philippians 4:19 (CSB)

 THE UMBRELLA OF PROVISION

 1.   The Premise: Be Generous. (16-18)

“Give, and it will be given to you; a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over—will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38 (CSB)

“Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house. And thereby put Me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.”  Malachi 3:10 (ESV)

Why My Generosity Matters

  • My giving is an encouragement to others. (17)
  • My giving is an investment in the future.

“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields because of My name will receive a hundred times more and will inherit eternal life.” Matthew 19:29 (CSB)

2.    The Promise: God Will Meet My Need.

“The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make ALL grace abound to you, so that having ALL sufficiency in ALL things at ALL times, you may abound in EVERY good work.”   II Corinthians 9:6-8 (ESV)

“The Lord’s blessing is our greatest wealth. All our work adds nothing to it!” Proverbs 10:22 (LB)
