RESTORING RELATIONSHIPS
Living With Joy - Part 9
July 5, 2020
Philippians 4:1-9

Relational Restoration…

1.   The Principle of Joy.

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” Philippians 4:4 (CSB)

“If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back. But if you are unsuccessful, take one or two others with you and go back again, so that everything you say may be confirmed by two or three witnesses.”  Matthew 18:15-16 (NLT)

2.   The Principle of Gentleness.

“Let your graciousness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.”   Philippians 4:5 (CSB)

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith…” Galatians 5:22 (KJV)

3.    The Principle of Prayer.

“Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6 (CSB)

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 (CSB)

4.    The Principle of Perspective.

“Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any moral excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy—dwell on these things.” Philippians 4:8 (CSB)

“Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:9 (NLT)
