II Corinthians 5:16-21

Pillar: As a follower of Jesus, my primary identity is who
I am IN CHRIST.
A SAINT IS…
1. WHO I AM.
“Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by God’s will: To the faithful saints in Christ Jesus at Ephesus… I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what is the wealth of His glorious inheritance in the saints,” Ephesians 1:1,18 (CSB)

“So then you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household…This grace was given to me—the least of all the saints—to proclaim to the Gentiles the incalculable riches of Christ.”  Ephesians 2:19, 3:8 (CSB) (Ephesians 4:11-12, 6:18)

“Therefore we were buried with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:4 (CSB)

2. WHO I AM BECOMING.
“Therefore, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, so now, not only in my presence but even more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” Philippians 2:12 (CSB)

3. WHO I WILL BE.
“I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you[a] will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6 (CSB).

“Now to Him who is able to protect you from stumbling and to make you stand in the presence of His glory, without blemish and with great joy.” Jude 24 (CSB)
