The Truth About Christmas

1.   GOD ________________________.

“’Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day; he saw it and was glad.’ The Jews replied, ‘You aren’t fifty years old yet, and you’ve seen Abraham?’ Jesus said to them, ‘Truly I tell you, before Abraham was, I am.’” John 8:56-58 (CSB)

“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For everything was created by him, in heaven and on earth…” Colossians 1:15-16a (CSB)

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.” Hebrews 4:15 (ESV)

2.   JESUS ________________________.

“…I lay down my life so that I may take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down on my own. I have the right to lay it down, and I have the right to take it up again…”  John 10:17-18 (CSB)

“…justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by His blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in His divine forbearance He had passed over former sins.” Romans 3:24-25 (ESV)

3.   JESUS ________________________.

“Let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by Him this man is standing before you well. This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.  And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:10-12 (ESV)
