John 8:1-11

Snapshot #1: _____________________________.

“For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, then how much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by His life.” Romans 5:10 (CSB)

“Once you were alienated and hostile in your minds as expressed in your evil actions.” Colossians 1:21 (CSB)

The Problem:  Because of our sin we are ______________ from God.

“For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” II Corinthians 5:21 (ESV)

Snapshot #2: ______________________________.

“And as they continued to ask Him, He stood up and said to them, ‘Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.’ And once more He bent down and wrote on the ground. But when they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones…” John 8:7-9 (CSB)

“… ‘Neither do I condemn you,’ said Jesus. ‘Go, and from now on do not sin anymore.’” John 8:11 (CSB)

The Solution:  Through the gift of __________ we are reconciled to God.

“That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed the message of reconciliation to us.” II Corinthians 5:19 (CSB)
