God is good and creates good

God, man, and God-man have community

God gave his image, presence and love

Instruction:

Follow God’s ways because of trust and love

Reproduce for God’s glory

FALL

Instruction:

Man chose their own way (evil) because of distrust

Consequences:

God’s wrath, man’s sin nature and broken community

Instruction:

Didn’t reproduce and sought their own glory

Image – distorted     Presence – separated    Love – remained

Mediators:

1. Law                   2. Sacrifices

3. Priests               4. Judges

5. Kings                6. Prophets

REDEMPTION

Christ:

Followed God’s ways perfectly because of trust and love; he is good

He reproduced himself within community for the glory of God

Instruction:

Follow me and my ways because you trust and love me

Reproduce for the glory of God

Image – displayed    Presence – promised     Love – proven

The Mediator:

1. Fulfilled the law          2. Final sacrifice

3. Forever high priest      4. Just judge

5. Eternal king                6. Ultimate            
                                            prophet

RESTORATION

God wants to create me new and use me as a mediator

We believe and remember his love

We receive forever his presence

We are recreated in his image
