Proverbs 3:5-6

“Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk—not as unwise people but as wise—making the most of the time, because the days are evil. So don’t be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”  Ephesians 5:15-17 (CSB)

Three Questions

 1.    Can I Trust God?

“But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us…For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 5:8, 6:23 (CSB)

Pillar: I can trust God because He is good.

“He did not even spare His own Son but gave him up for us all. How will he not also with him grant us everything?” Romans 8:32 (CSB)

“If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him.”  Matthew 7:11 (CSB)

2.    Can I Trust His Understanding?

“No creature is hidden from Him, but all things are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must give an account.” Hebrews 4:13 (CSB)

Pillar: I can trust a good all-knowing God with my future.

“Your eyes saw me when I was formless; all my days were written in Your book and planned before a single one of them began.” Psalm 139:16 (CSB)

3.   Will I Act on God’s Direction?

“…In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:6 (ESV)

Pillar: The more we know Him, the more we love Him, the more we obey Him.

“I am the Lord. I have called you for a righteous purpose, and I will hold you by your hand. I will watch over you, and I will appoint you to be a covenant for the people and a light to the nations.” Isaiah 42:6 (CSB)
