THINKING CHRISTIANLY ABOUT THE TRANSGENDER ISSUE

I am actually old enough to remember watching Bruce Jenner compete in the Olympics in 1976.  I was ten years old and remember his success. That is obviously one of the reasons (and being on reality TV with the Kardashian’s) his transgender journey has garnered such attention.  The past few weeks I have read several articles and opinions on the subject.  I have agreed with some opinions and disagreed with others.

The biblical principles that should guide Christian thinking are the Gospel principles of grace and truth.  The apostle John said this about Jesus, “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ” John 1: 18 (NIV).   Those principles in mind I want to point you to the best blog I have read on the subject.  It is written by James Emory White on his website Church and Culture.  I think he deals with subject thoroughly (given it’s a blog), and he does so with grace and truth.

I hope this helps you think Christian-ly about this subject.
