Daniel 3

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”   Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)

Biblical Faith

1.  Is not trusting the quanitity of our belief.

“…For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of  a mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move…”  Matthew 17:20 (CSB)

  •  Faith is understanding that God is good.

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son but gave him up for us all, how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things?” Romans 8:31-32 (ESV)

“God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent His one and only Son into the world so that we might live through Him. Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.” I John 4:9-10 (CSB)

2.   Is not trusting in our own insight.

“But even if He does not rescue us, we want you as king to know that we will not serve your gods or worship the gold statue you set up.” Daniel 3:18 (CSB)

  • Faith is trusting that God is able.

“For he considered reproach for the sake of Christ to be greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, since he was looking ahead to the reward.”   Hebrews 11:26 (CSB)
