Mark 3:7-19

“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…”

Matthew 28: 18-20 (CSB)

What does a disciple look like?

1.   One who is ___________________________________. (7-12)

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.”  I Peter 5:7 (NLT)

“Because of the miraculous signs Jesus did in Jerusalem at the Passover celebration, many began to trust in Him. But Jesus didn’t trust them, because He knew all about people. No one needed to tell Him about human nature, for He knew what was in each person’s heart.” John 2:23-25 (NLT)

Point: A Disciple follows Jesus regardless of _________________.

“And he said to all, “If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.” Luke 9:23 (ESV)

2.   One who is ____________________________________. (13)

“In these days He went out to the mountain to pray, and all night He continued in prayer to God. And when day came, He called His disciples and chose from them twelve, whom He named apostles:” Luke 6:12-13 (ESV)

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

3.   One who is _________________ and _______________. (14-19)

‘So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” II Corinthians 5:20 (NLT)

“But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being[a] might boast in the presence of God” I Corinthians 1:27-29 (ESV)
