Mark 2:18-22

 

Jesus Calls us into

1.   A ______________________ not ritual. (18-20)

“Whenever you fast, don’t be gloomy like the hypocrites. For they disfigure their faces so that their fasting is obvious to people. Truly I tell you, they have their reward.” Matthew 6:16 (CSB)

 

‘But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that your fasting isn’t obvious to others but to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” Matthew 5:17-18 (CSB)

 

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity.” II Peter 3:18 (CSB)

“No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment…and no one puts new wine into old wineskins.” Mark 2:21-22 (CSB)

 

Two Truth
