WHEN THE BOTTOM FALLS OUT
Standing Strong in a Compromising Culture- Part 2

Daniel 2

1.    The Problem.

“The king replied to the Chaldeans, ‘My word is final: If you don’t tell me the dream and its interpretation, you will be torn limb from limb, and your houses will be made a garbage dump.’” Daniel 2:5 (CSB)

 Remember: When I face a “God only” moment don’t look down or around but instead look up.

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)

2.    The Response.

“Then Daniel responded with tact and discretion to Arioch, the captain of the king’s guard, who had gone out to execute the wise men of Babylon.”  Daniel 2:14 (CSB)

 Remember:  When the bottom falls out pray.

“Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and incomprehensible things you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3 (CSB)

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Ephesians 3:20 (NLT)

3.    The Promise.

“In the days of those kings, the God of the heavens will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, and this kingdom will not be left to another people. It will crush all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, but will itself endure forever.” Daniel 2:44 (CSB)

 Remember: Jesus is the Coming King.

“Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name,  so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11 (ESV)
