Romans 3:1-8

Three Questions

1.    Why be ____________________? (1-2)

“You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden … In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14, 16 (CSB)

“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf, ‘Be reconciled to God.”’   II Corinthians 5:20 (CSB)

2.    Why not ____________________ on God? (3-4)

“Not on your life! Depend on it: God keeps his word even when the whole world is lying through its teeth. Scripture says the same: Your words stand fast and true; Rejection doesn’t faze you.” Romans 3:4 (Mess)

“God is not a man, that He might lie, or a son of man, that He might change His mind. Does he speak and not act, or promise and not fulfill?”  Numbers 23:19 (CSB)

3.    Why do what ______________________? (5-8)

“Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like Him.” Colossians 3:9-10 (NLT)
